Registration & Licensing Renewals

One missed deadline locks you out of public works bidding, federal contracts, or good standing with the state. We track every registration and renewal — DIR, CSLB, SAM, Statement of Information — on one calendar and file before each deadline.

Why it matters

DIR Public Works Contractor registration lapses every June 30; miss the renewal and every open bid on a public job is disqualified until you're re-registered, with no guarantee the state processes it before your next bid deadline. A CSLB license that lapses bars you from contracting at all — performing work under an expired license is a misdemeanor under Business and Professions Code Section 7028. A Statement of Information filed late with the Secretary of State draws a penalty and can lead to suspension, which then blocks bonding, financing, and bidding on any public job that requires good standing to submit.

How we do the work

1

Audit every registration and license

We pull current status on DIR Public Works Contractor registration, CSLB license, SAM.gov entity registration, and Secretary of State filing status. Anything expired, expiring, or inactive gets flagged on day one.

2

Build the per-entity compliance calendar

One calendar, every renewal date: DIR PWC (annual, expires June 30), CSLB (one- or two-year cycle), SAM.gov (annual), Statement of Information (annual for corporations, biennial for LLCs). Filing windows marked at 60, 30, and 10 days out.

3

Prepare each renewal

We draft the DIR PWC renewal and fee submission, the CSLB renewal application, the SAM.gov entity update (NAICS codes, reps and certifications, E-Verify enrollment status), and the Statement of Information for the Secretary of State's bizfile portal.

4

Human review, then file

A reviewer checks every field against the source documents before anything submits. Nothing files on AI output alone.

5

Confirm and roll forward

We verify each renewal posts and shows active on the registries agencies actually check before awarding or monitoring a bid — DIR's contractor list, CSLB license lookup, SAM.gov entity status, B2Gnow where an awarding body uses it. The calendar resets for the next cycle automatically; we notify you ahead of each date.

What you receive

Scope, plainly statedAeternus Dynamics prepares, checks, and files these renewals; AI-assisted preparation, human review before anything is submitted. We are not a law firm and this is not legal advice. Filing support for registration and licensing renewals does not require a contractor license — we do not hold one, and none is needed for this scope. You hold the license and the signing authority; we hold the calendar.

Flat annual per-entity calendar retainer: one price covers every registration and renewal on your calendar for the year, not billed filing by filing. Configure this service and see your estimate in the engagement builder.

Questions contractors ask

Which registrations and licenses does this cover?

DIR Public Works Contractor registration, CSLB license renewal, SAM.gov entity renewal, and Statement of Information with the Secretary of State. If your entity carries other state or local registrations tied to bidding eligibility, we add them to the same calendar.

Do you need to be a licensed contractor to do this work?

No. This is administrative filing preparation, not contracting and not legal work. We do not hold a contractor license and none is required for this scope. You retain signing authority on every filing.

What if a deadline is already close, or already passed, when we start?

We triage first: anything expiring inside 30 days gets filed immediately, then the full calendar goes in behind it. If a registration has already lapsed, we lay out the reinstatement path before we file anything.
