Who you are

Your licence number is the first thing the check reads against the public register, so it is the one number we genuinely cannot start without.

The job this roster is for

The free check is for a contractor with an active or imminent public-works award and a roster of five or more subs. If you are below that we will say so the same day rather than quietly doing the work and calling it a lead.

For example: a city, a school district, a county public works department, plus whatever number is on the front of the solicitation.

A band, not a count. The free check covers the first 10 subs on whatever you send.

The roster

Sub legal name, and the CSLB licence number wherever you happen to have it. Send it in whatever form it already exists in. There is no template to fill in, and we would rather read your bid tab than have you retype it.

A photo of the bid tab, a spreadsheet, a CSV, a PDF, a forwarded email. Any format, up to 3 MB. Paste the list above or attach a file — either one is enough.

Please do not send us any of this

  • Bid amounts or unit pricing
  • Employee names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Payroll data of any kind
  • Signed subcontracts
  • Bank or account details

None of it is needed to check a licence, a registration, or a debarment list, and we would rather not hold what we do not need. If it arrives anyway we delete it and tell you we did.

Where to send it back

We confirm the same day whether you qualify. If you do, the scorecard is with you inside two business days. If you never write back after that, nothing happens — there is no follow-up sequence. Your sub list is business information about your trade partners and is treated that way: never sold, never shared, and never used to market to the companies on it. See our Privacy and Terms.

The Sub Roster Check is verification and documentation only — reporting the presence, absence, and dates of publicly verifiable credentials against a named, dated checklist.
